About Miss Shelly Designs

 

Hello! I’m Shell, and on most days you’ll find me in my home studio with the sewing machine humming away and my head buzzing with new creative ideas.

Ten years ago life changed forever when my first son arrived, so I decided to kick the office job to the kerb and combine my passions for design and illustration – and so Miss Shelly Designs was born. I’ve worked as an animator and also a costume designer and it’s this varied background that brings a quirky and humorous edge to each and every product I dream up.


Whether it’s unusual prints or greetings cards, festive decorations or children’s toys, I’m passionate about creating beautiful things to be loved and last forever. Everything I hand-make is unique, from the first design sketch to those all-important finishing touches.

My range is also inspired by events from my own life, such as my very popular dinosaur decorations and cards that came from being a mum of two dino-mad boys or turning my love of gingerbread into what’s become a best-selling Christmas range. I’m a big believer in the personal touch and ensure that this is stitched lovingly into everything I make.
