Ordering & Personalisation
Can I personalise my order?
Yes! Many of my pieces can be personalised with names, dates or special details. Just add your information in the personalisation box on the product page.
How do I send my photo for personalised orders?
Once you’ve placed your order, you can simply attach your photo to your order, or email it to hello@missshellydesigns.com with your order number.
A few helpful tips to make sure your piece turns out just right:
For stitched photo hoops:
- Choose a high-resolution image
- If your photo includes people, make sure there’s enough space around them
- Imagine your image inside a circle — will everyone fit without being cropped?
- Don’t worry about editing — you don’t need to crop or turn it black and white, I’ll take care of that for you
For framed stitched photo portraits:
- Cropping isn’t as important here
- I can work details into the edges and corners
- Just make sure your image is clear and high resolution
For personalised elves, superheroes, decorations & magnets:
- A forward-facing photo works best
- The higher the resolution, the better the final result
For bespoke pet portraits:
- Feel free to send multiple photos (I love seeing them!)
- You can upload them with your order or email them across
- The more information, the better — tell me about your pet’s colours, markings and little details you’d love me to capture
Can I request something custom?
Absolutely. Custom orders are one of my favourite things to create. Whether it’s a bespoke pet design or a stitched photo gift, just send me a message and we can chat through your idea.
How do I send you a photo for my customised hoop or embroidered
How long do personalised orders take?
As everything is handmade to order, personalised items usually take a little longer. Current turnaround times are listed on my delivery page, but if you need something sooner, feel free to get in touch.
Delivery & Packaging
How long does delivery take?
Delivery times depend on the item and whether it’s personalised. Ready-made items are usually dispatched quickly, while custom pieces take a little longer to create.
Do you offer gift packaging?
Yes! You can add a personalised gift box to your order, complete with a special message — perfect if you’re sending directly to someone. You can view the gift boxes here, or they are listed on individual decorations as an added extra.
Can I send a gift directly to someone?
Of course. Just enter their address at checkout and add a personalised message - I’ll make sure it’s beautifully packaged with no pricing included.
Handmade Process
Are your products handmade?
Yes — everything is designed and made by me in my Hertfordshire studio. Each piece is created with care, making every item unique.
What materials do you use?
I mainly use wool felt, fabrics, threads and mixed media techniques. Occasionally, I may use acrylic felt if it’s the perfect colour match for your design.
Returns & Support
Can I return a personalised item?
As personalised pieces are made just for you, they are non-returnable unless there is a fault. If there’s an issue with your order, please contact me and I’ll always do my best to help.
